Around the Bahnhofstrasse
There is just so much to take in when you come to Zurich and a lot of the action is based around the Bahnhofstrasse. Lots of big Euopean banks have got their head offices here, and there are also some of the biggest hotels located here as well, such as the Savoy, particularly around the Paradeplatz, which is just on the southern side of the square. This is a lively spot and there is usually something going on here. Many busy tram lines converge at the Paradeplatz.

Views from Rigiblick
Most people come to Rigiblick to enjoy some views of central Switzerland and to see the distance Rigi Mountain. We came here to escape Zurich and went for a long woodland walk right up to the Zoo station. There is a good restaurant here if you are hungry, like we were - tasty and not too pricey.

The Grossmunster in Zurich
This is probably the most famous of all the building in Zurich and well known all over Switzerland. It was finished in 1220 after around 120 years worth of construction. One of the towers in open to the public and you really should try and climb it. There is a small charge and an awful lot of steps, but you be pleased you made the effort when you see the city and lake views from the top. It is near to the Rathaus and on the Zwingliplatz.
